What's New in the World of Jayy.

I suppose I don't write journal entries on DeviantArt much, but what's the point? I have my website, twitter, Facebook, and 20 billion tumblrs - who needs to update people more than that? It also would seem that I haven't uploaded much lately, but that would be because I upload all of everything I make to my other DA account (the one where I keep track of everything I've ever made... good or bad). I also don't like adding signatures/banners/icons etc to this account, which is a lot of what I've been making recently.

The Design - Do You Have What It Takes?

Back again for a Season 2, The Design is taking web and graphic design competitions to a whole new level. It's set up is based off the popular NBC show, The Voice. Taking place over the course of the summer, The Design calls for auditions from talented designers from all over the world and 4 rounds of battles until the last designer standing wins the prize and the title of The Designer.
The Design is comprised of 4 teams: Team Aashni, Team Jayy, Team Karlee, and Team Mari. Once we stop accepting entries on July 7, 2012, the blind auditions will begin. These 4 judges will battle over which designers they want on their team based only on their anonymous entries and nothing else. Once the teams are chosen, the competition really begins. Each week, a new round will be administered, and team members will have to battle each other and win to stay in the competition.
Other than just entering the contest, there are tons of other things that you can do. New this year, you have the ability to win points to give to your favorite team, whether you are on a team or not. We have awesome fan contests that you can compete in if you don't have the time or the will to participate all summer. We also need people to submit prizes, create buttons, and advertise for us. We want our site to be a collection of all of the awesome designers out there, whether they are actually competing or not, so please help out in any way that you can if you're interested.
The second season is going to be awesome. We have new challenges, new ideas, new competitors, and even some old ones coming back to join us again. It's a contest bringing all of the design community together, and we want you to be a part of it.
